Rufus - Amazon AI Chat
I joined the team in March 2023 to develop a new conversational AI for the Amazon shopping mobile app. Initially starting with a team of four in-house designers, I led the development of multiple features from inception, collaborating closely with the science, engineering, and partner teams to make timely and critical decisions. Key features I managed and developed include the first-time user experience, response templates design, shopping component design as part of the Rufus design library, and accessibility enhancements.
After numerous rounds of testing and iterative design improvements, Rufus was launched in beta to a select group of customers in Amazon’s mobile app in February 2024. It is now live and available to all iOS and Android mobile users in the USA.
